Shaykh Ismail Bowers
ISCJ Resident Scholar
Completed the traditional ʿAlimiyyah program at Al-Qarawiyyin in Fes, Morocco. Holds a Master's from Emory University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Oxford. Received multiple Ijazahs from leading scholars around the world.
Shaykh Ahmed Ashour
Scholar of Islamic Sciences
Classically trained at Al-Azhar University. Earned an Ijāzah ʿĀliyah in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, with expertise in Fiqh, Uṣūl, Ḥadīth, Tafsīr, and Arabic linguistics.
Shaykh Meurad Osman
Hanafi Law & Arabic 1 Instructor
Born and raised in New Jersey, he pursued traditional studies in the U.S., Turkey, and Jordan under renowned scholars. He holds a graduate degree in Hanafi Fiqh and Usull from The World Islamic Sciences and Education University in Amman, Jordan.
Shaykh Murabit Benavidez
Seerah Instructor
More than twenty years teaching the Islamic sciences. Pursued traditional learning in Damascus and Mauritania with scholars including Murabit al-Hajj and Murabit Ahmad Fal. Specializes in Islamic theology (kalām), Maliki fiqh, Hadith, and Arabic, and has taught at Zaytuna College and Darul Qasim.
Dr. Nibal Zaghloul
Arabic 2 Instructor
A pediatric oncologist and hematologist at Saint Peter's University Hospital. Of Palestinian origin and born in Lebanon, he learned Arabic from his father, himself an Arabic teacher, and taught Arabic grammar and morphology at the NBIC Center for several years.
Dr. Ahmed M. Mohamed
Hanbali Fiqh 1 Instructor
Holds a Ph.D. in Biology from Queen's University and an MA in Islamic Studies, with an Ijazah to teach Quran recitation, Tajweed, Aqeeda and Hadeeth. Former faculty at Rutgers and Raritan Valley, and currently Religious Director at Al Falah Center in Bridgewater, NJ.
